Customizing the Office Web Client download location

When Meridian Web Access is installed, the default download location for the Meridian Office Web Client is http://www.bluecieloecm.com/BCWebClient/.

To customize the Office Web Client download location:

1. If the Office Web Client setup package was copied to the Web Access server during Meridian Enterprise installation, move or copy the contents of the Office Web Client setup subfolder from the Web Access server to the new location. By default, it is located at C:\Inetpub\AMM\Res\OWC.

OR

1. If the Office Web Client setup package was not copied to the Web Access server during Meridian Enterprise installation, obtain a copy of the Office Web Client setup package and save it to a publicly available location on a web server, for example, by creating a folder at C:\Inetpub\AMM\Res\OWC. In a standard installation of Web Access, the folder AMM is shared as the Web Access application name Meridian. Depending on the security configuration of your web server, you may need to create and share a different folder.

2. Open the server’s registry and locate the following key:
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cyco\AutoManager Meridian\CurrentVersion\WebLink
3. Change the value of NetViewerDownloadURL to the location of the setup package, for example, http://<ServerName>/Meridian/Res/OWC/BlueCielo Office Web Client.msi.
4. Restart the World Wide Web Publishing (IIS) service.

Users may now download the Office Web Client from your web server and install it without needing access to the Internet.
